Separate Intelligence was one of the first ever formed teams in the first full Grifball League, and on this team now is the original roster, as we appeared in GBWL08. Through the years the team may have changed, and friendships were sometimes ended, but one thing always remained true: whoever played on SI was always a friend of the team, and was not recruited based solely on their skill.
We started as four guys who loved Grifball, and loved playing it with friends we'd known online for a year. When we dissolved the team, two years later, it was because we could no longer say that of the team.
And so we left, on fairly good terms, the team that two of us had played on for every season the AGLA had ever seen. Now all that remains is this original roster of 5 gamertags, all of which have retired from the game, and the following eventual fates of each of them.
Gambs captained the team for two seasons, WL08 and SL08, but eventually became less interested in the game and something of an absentee captain. He was replaced by RomanArrow in SML08 and left the team at that point.
Danka Arrow (RomanArrow) played his first game of Grifball the night hammers were added to the game, and his last game in the first round of the FL09 Pro League playoffs. He captained Separate Intelligence from SML08 until he finished playing, with the exception of one season.
Oldbo Jenkins was one of the original 4 SI members, and played for the first two seasons, although his play time was significantly reduced when Angrymonkey joined and fit in very well with the other 3 members.
Angrymonkey joined halfway through WL08, and was perhaps the original "sword-tank." His skills with a sword at the time were seemingly unparalleled. Unfortunately, he got tired of the game at the end of the season and retired early.
HAL0H3R0 never captained the team, but started playing Grifball with RomanArrow in the same game, making them the longest playing players in the league at the time of SI breaking up. He continues to play (as Adam Pisani, his real name), and has vowed never to leave Grifball behind until there are no other teams left to play. He is currently the Grifball commissioner. |
